Snow Day

Oil 14 x 18

It was winter, it was 2016 and it snowed and snowed and snowed. Taking corners around the gigantic mountains of snow was taking your life into your hands. Children had the most days off from school then probably ever recorded. This painting was taken from a photo I came across. It brought me back to my own childhood and the many, many days of sledding down hills of snow. I could almost feel my wet mittens, frozen cheeks and smile spread across my face.
