This was one of the first paintings I did and couldn’t sell it for quite some time even though the person who bought it kept asking me if I was ready.  This was a boat that stood alone in the marshes in Cape Cod.  No one ever seemed to move it as if it were keeping watch.  I loved the color of the boat and the way the sky softened as the marsh seemed to go on forever.
