Fresh From the Sea

Oil Painting 11 x 14

At the end of each summer, my husband and I love to stop in a certain restaurant where the tables are squeezed onto the tiny narrow deck and I have my chance to devour the long-awaited, once a year fried clams, french fries, loads of ketchup and tartar sauce. I was in the moment, savoring my little bit of heaven when I looked up from my plate. HA!!! Jumping up, grabbing my camera I ran around the restaurant onto the other side of the dock right getting up close and personal. Normally I hesitate to ever invade other’s space when shooting my camera but this time I was intent so just smiled sweetly and carried on. I loved his orange fisherman’s pants, the fish shining in the buckets and the sun shining on it all. Painting this was a true pleasure. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did painting it.
